The "MAMMY" Award

I am the most absent minded mother in the world!
I went outside to talk to our yard guy. When I went to go inside, I had locked myself out. Conner was in his pack-n-play. Luckily, our yard guy was still out there and I used his cell to call Billy to let me in. His office is only 5 minutes away from our house, but it seemed to take an eternity for him to get here. I was panicing about Conner. I didn't want him to be crying and me not be there to console him.
Billy got here and gave me his key. I came inside went strait to Conner and he was fine. He was just sitting there "talking" to his farm animal friends.
Whew!
I'm officially awarding myself the "Most Absent Minded Mother of the Year" award. :o)

First Beach Trip

This weekend we took Conner on his first beach trip. We went to Destin, FL. We left on Friday afternoon and came back Sunday afternoon. It was wonderful! Conner loved the water. We bought him a little inner tube to float in (with our help). We went to the beach Saturday and he floated and fell asleep in the gulf!

Sunday we met up with Amanda and Chad; Darlena, Chris, Kristen and Tanner. We rented a pontoon boat. Conner looked so cute in his life jacket. It was so big on him, but it was the smallest one the had.

First Set of Shots

Conner went to see Dr. Faye Roberts today to get his shots. He was going to get them at his 2.5 month visit, but he had a cold. He did pretty good considering he was getting shots. He cried, I teared up. They gave him tylenol at the office and he's been sleeping ever since.
His measurements were :15lbs. 4 oz., 26 inches, and his head was 44cm. All in 95th percentile.

Conner went to sleep all by himself.

I put Conner in his pack-n-play to play with his farm animal "friends". I went by to check on him because I noticed he was quiet. When I saw him, he was sleeping. It was the cutest thing. This was the first time he went to sleep by himself.

Conner's First Hurricane

Conner braved Hurricane Dennis today. It actually made landfall on Santa Rosa Island in Florida, but we felt some effects from it.
We stayed at our church during the storm. We thought we might go to my grandfather's in Livingston, but decided to wait it out in Saraland.He did very good.
He did seem to get upset when mommy put him down, like he knew something was going on. He also met his other Great Grandfather today, Billy's maternal grandfather.

First time Daddy gives Conner a bath

Daddy gave Conner a bath for the first time. He did a great job. Conner loved it!

Recognized bottle as time to eat

I fixed his bottle. I had to put it down to pick something else up. He was looking straight at the bottle and started fussing. He knew it was time to eat when he saw the bottle.

First Cold

Went to the doctor today and found out Conner had his first cold. :o( Thats the bad news. The good news is he's growing like a weed! He weighed 14lbs and 5oz.(93rd percentile) He was 25 inches long(92nd percentile), and his head is 43 cm in circumference(94th percentile).
