First Christmas Parade

Conner saw his first Christmas parade in Saraland today. We parked at the church and stood with Kristen and Tanner. Conner played with his friend April too. He caught a lot of things at the parade. It was a lot of fun!

First Thanksgiving

Today was Conner's first Thanksgiving. It was very eventful!
We started home from Ft. Lauderdale Wednesday morning. We missed our flight at 11 that morning. So, the ticket agent booked us on a flight at 10 that night. We got to the airport at 7:30, I was not going to miss this flight! When we got there we had a big surprise. When they went to booked us on a non-stop flight to Pensacola, they didn't take us off of the 11am flight and ended up not booking us on the 10pm flight. We were very distraught! Mr. Kelly the lead agent for Delta at Ft. Lauderdale International, helped us get on a flight to Atlanta. He even offered us a hotel room in Atlanta. So, we got on the plane and arrived in Atlanta around 11 Wednesday night. Spent the night in the airport and checked in at 4:30 that morning for our flight to Pensacola at 6:30. We got to Pensacola at 7.
Nanny, Aunt Mona and cousin Brian met us at the airport and took us to Meme and Paw Paw's house. We rested a little there, then went and had dinner at Nanny's house. We left there that afternoon and went to visit with Aunt Laura! Then, we went back to Meme and Paw Paw's house, ate supper there, and spent that night!
Friday we headed to Dothan for LeAnn's wedding Sunday we drove back to Meme and Paw Paw's hosue. Monday we were back on a plane to Ft. Lauderdale.
Like I said, it was a very eventful Thanksgiving for Conner's first...

Beach Baby

Conner went to the beach in Ft. Lauderdale today. He got to stick his toes in the Atlantic Ocean. Daddy thought it would be fun to cover Conner with sand. As soon as Conner got some sand in his hand it was all in his mouth. Of course! Conner had a wonderful time.
Later we rode down to Miami and went through the Art Deco Historical district. It was very pretty.

Conner met another April baby!

Today Conner met Olivia, Melanie's baby from the April '05 Kids board on AOL. The mommies had lunch while the babies talked to each other. They looked like they had a lot of fun!

Met Santa Claus

We went to the Junior League of Mobile Christmas Jubilee today. They had Santa Claus there taking pictures. Well, I had to get Conner's pictures made. So, Meme and I went to a booth and bought Conner a cute Christmas outfit and went back and had his picture made with Santa Claus. Conner did so good. He went right to Santa Claus and smiled cute for the camera and everything!

First flight

Well, I couldn't have asked for a better trip!
We got to Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport around 1:15 (our flight was scheduled for 2:05.) Billy let me out to go check in while he and Conner went to go park the car. Well, I got checked in. No Billy or Conner. I got my luggage checked in. No Billy or Conner. I let the agent know about Conner flying with me b/c they apparently don't ask detailed info about infants flying with you on cheaptickets.com. STILL no Billy or Conner. I'm starting to panic b/c the agent has already told me I need to go ahead and get to the plane. I go to the pay phone and start calling Billy. Finally they showed up.
We said our good byes :o( (I miss him already) and we go to the security check point. While I'm waiting there are some people arriving. Billy tried to call my cell phone and tell me it was the New England Patriots. I missed that call. Well, we get to the plane and it turns out it was the smallest plane I've ever been on. It had two rows on one side and one on the other. I get to my seat and luckily no one is sitting there in my row. No one ever showed up! :o) I had two seats to myself and Conner. I sit Conner down on the seat and he promptly falls over on the arm rest with a big thud...I just knew right then I was about to be the most hated person on that flight b/c Conner was going to start crying. But, he didn't. I was relieved! While we taxi down the runway he falls asleep and sleeps the whole way to Orlando.
When we land in Orlando he wakes up. I wait for everyone else to get off of the plane so I can do what I need to get out and not be in anyone's way. (I read that tip in an article) We have a 2 1/2 hour layover in Orlando so I go and eat at the Outback that's in the terminal. Conner is a perfect little angel the whole time! Not fussy or anything.
When I go to wait for my flight to Pensacola I hear, "Pensacola passenger, Melodie Brown, please come to the desk." I start to think they are going to tell me that I'm being put on stand by or something wrong. The man tells me that he doesn't like where they have me seated so he changes my seat to a seat with no one beside me...AGAIN! :o) I was so happy to hear that. I gave Conner a bottle on at the beginning of the flight and he slept the whole way to Pensacola. When we got off of the plane, a lady came up to me and said she didn't even know I had baby with me.
Conner is a good flyer. I promise I'm not making this up! :o)

First Road Trip in Motorhome

We took our first trip in our motorhome. We took a trip down to the Ft. Lauderdale area for Billy to work down there. Conner did really good the whole time. He only got fussy when he was hungry or had a dirty diaper. Who wouldn't fuss about that right?
Friday should be Conner's first time flying. He and Mommy will be leaving Daddy to come home for a couple of days. We have sev eral things to do this weekend at home. We're going to the Gingham Tree Arts and Crafts show in Lucedale, MS. The Junior League's Christmas Jubilee is this weekend. And most importantly is Aunt Amanda's baby shower at church for Shelby!!!!
